I LOVE TUMBLR!!
Want to know why?
I recently sold a framed print of my May the Sin be with You to an inquiring party here on Tumblr.. they had no qualms about price or shipping and everything went smoothly. Before we completely finished the transaction, they asked if I would be able to do a Spider Jerusalem sketch for them as well. On top of payment in full for the framed piece I was given a choice; take this really fantastic custom ring based off Spider’s glasses, or accept monetary payment if I wasn’t too interested in the ring. Words can not describe how enticed I was with an option! I took the ring, of course, being that It is one of my favorite comic series, I love rings, I love to barter, I love anything that is interesting and thoughtful!
Today I was able to go through all my mail from the holiday, and included was the package with the ring. AND PATCHES! and a darling little card!
Sufficed to say, that was all pretty awesome. (on top of that I also had my DaggersForTeeth package waiting for me, I was in PATCH HEAVEN this evening)
As promised, here’s a sneak peak at the commission. I hope the receiving party enjoys it. I had a smile on my face the entire time I was working on it. (If you like it make sure to order online through CBLDF or ask your LCS for a discounted previews edition of ALL AROUND THE WORLD, the CBLDF Transmetropolitan charity art book that I’m published in) I didn’t make the PO tonight, but it will be going out first thing tomorrow for sure. I am so glad to know that I’ve got work going to loving homes and new owners!
OH! By the way, this is my first finished commission for 2013! Here’s to more. Bring ‘em on! :D
